Play Piper is proud to partner with the Texas Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (TALAS) in supporting the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

This year, graduating senior Maya Herrera of Burges High School in El Paso ISD was selected to receive the TALAS Student Scholarship Award in recognition of her academic achievement, resilience, leadership, and commitment to her community. Sponsored by Play Piper, the $1,500 scholarship will support Maya as she pursues a degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Texas at Austin.

Play Piper National Sales Director Scott Fields attended the TALAS event and presented the award to Maya in person.

“Maya is an impressive young woman with a bright future ahead of her,” said Fields. “It was a privilege to meet her and recognize the hard work, leadership, and determination that earned her this scholarship.”
